Job Description

POSITION TITLE: CORRUGATED BOX MACHINE OPERATOR
Responsible for all activities associated with running the machine including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MUST have previous manual machine operator experience.
Read and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
Selects, positions, and secures dies, blades, cutters, and fixtures onto machine, using ruler, square, shims, templates, hand tools, and built-in gauges.
Positions and clamps stops, guides, and turntables. Adjusts controls to set and regulate machining factors, such as pressure and depth of ram stroke, adjustment rolls, blade angle, and machine speed.
Locates and marks bending or cutting lines and reference points on work piece, using instruments, such as rule and compass, or by tracing from templates.
Continuously adjust machine in order to generate consistent quality product.
Inspect all dies before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run.
Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
Train and assist helpers with job duties on the machine.
Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
Adhere to production schedule.
Additional duties may be assigned by management.

pay could range between $14/hr - $16/hr or more DOE
all shifts available, must be flexible

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds by team lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
