Job Description
A law office clerical position involves performing administrative tasks such as filing legal documents, managing case files, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, preparing correspondence, maintaining client records, and ensuring the smooth operation of the law office, often under the supervision of attorneys and paralegals, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office software.
Key responsibilities:
Organizing and maintaining physical and electronic case files
Filing legal documents accurately and timely
Retrieving files as needed
Answering phone calls and directing inquiries to appropriate staff
Scheduling appointments with clients and attorneys
Greeting clients and managing check-in process
Copying and distributing legal documents
Copying and scanning legal documents
Data entry

Legal experience a PLUS
