            <description><![CDATA[<strong>Position Summary</strong><br>The Flexo Press Machine Operator Lead is a hands-on working lead responsible for the setup, operation, and quality output of flexographic printing presses (including the Mark Andy 8-color and Retroflex 4-color presses), while directing and developing a crew of press operators and helpers. This position serves as the first point of escalation on the press floor for quality, mechanical, scheduling, and personnel issues during the shift. The Lead ensures all jobs are run safely, to specification, on schedule, and in full compliance with company quality standards, customer specifications, and OSHA safety requirements.<br><strong>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</strong><br><strong>Press Operation & Setup</strong><br><ul><li>Perform complete press setups and changeovers: plate mounting, anilox roll selection, doctor blade setup, impression settings, registration, die-cutting setup, and web tension control.</li><li>Operate the press to produce printed product meeting customer specifications for color, registration, print quality, and dimensional accuracy.</li><li>Mix, monitor, and adjust inks (UV, water-based, solvent) including viscosity and pH control;verify ink and substrate match job specifications.</li><li>Perform first-article inspections and obtain required approvals before running production;complete in-process quality checks at defined intervals per QA procedures.</li><li>Troubleshoot print defects (misregistration, dot gain, streaking, pinholing, die-cut issues) and mechanical problems;escalate to maintenance when beyond operator-level repair.</li><li>Accurately complete job tickets, production counts, waste tracking, end-of-shift reports, and quality documentation.</li></ul><br><strong>Lead Responsibilities</strong><br><ul><li>Direct, train, and coach press operators, assistant operators, and material handlers assigned to the shift;model correct setup and operating technique.</li><li>Assign work and coordinate press schedules with the Production Planner to meet delivery commitments;communicate schedule risks early.</li><li>Serve as first responder for quality holds;stop production when product is out of specification and initiate containment per RCCA procedures.</li><li>Support onboarding and cross-training of new operators;verify training completion and sign off on demonstrated competencies.</li><li>Communicate shift-to-shift handoffs including press status, open issues, material shortages, and maintenance needs.</li><li>Provide input to the Production Supervisor on crew performance, attendance issues, and disciplinary documentation;enforce plant policies on the floor (including the no-cell-phone policy in production areas).</li></ul><br><strong>Maintenance, Safety & Housekeeping</strong><br><ul><li>Perform and verify daily/weekly operator preventive maintenance per press PM checklists;log maintenance requests for issues requiring the maintenance team.</li><li>Enforce lockout/tagout, machine guarding, PPE, and all OSHA safety requirements;participate in safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations.</li><li>Maintain 5S standards in the press area: organized tooling, labeled inks and plates, clean work surfaces, and clear aisles.</li><li>Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of plates, dies, anilox rolls, and hazardous materials (inks, solvents, cleaning agents).</li></ul><br><strong>Inventory Management âInks & Machine Parts</strong><br><ul><li>Monitor on-hand levels of inks, solvents, additives, plates, doctor blades, and consumable press parts;notify the Purchasing Manager of reorder needs before stock-outs impact the schedule.</li><li>Record ink usage, returns, and waste against jobs;ensure partial containers are properly labeled, dated, and stored for reuse (FIFO).</li><li>Maintain an organized spare parts inventory for the presses (bearings, gears, seals, blades, tapes, sleeves);track critical spares and flag low quantities.</li><li>Support accurate inventory transactions in NetSuite, including material issues to jobs and cycle counts of press-area supplies.</li><li>Inspect incoming inks and parts against purchase orders;report shortages, damage, or discrepancies to Purchasing and the Warehouse Supervisor.</li></ul><strong>Work Environment & Physical Requirements</strong><ul><li>Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, inks, and solvents;PPE required.</li><li>Ability to stand and walk for the majority of an 8â12 hour shift.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and team-lift heavier rolls/tooling with equipment assistance.</li><li>Frequent bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, and fine hand manipulation during setups.</li><li>Visual acuity sufficient to detect print defects, verify color, and read gauges (with or without correction).</li></ul><strong>Performance Standards</strong><ul><li>Product quality: first-pass yield, defect escapes, and adherence to QA-FLEX procedures.</li><li>Productivity: setup/changeover times, run speeds, and waste percentage against targets.</li><li>Safety: zero preventable incidents;completion of PM checklists and safety training.</li><li>Leadership: crew training progress, shift handoff quality, and documentation accuracy.</li></ul><strong>Acknowledgment</strong><br>This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.             <description><![CDATA[<br>The Feeder Operator restacks sheets of paperboard and operates the feed mechanism of the printing press under the direction of the Department Technician. The Feeder Operator may be required to operate an aerator before re-stacking paperboard on a press pallet. The Feeder Operator is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the press under the direction of the Technician according to the SOPs (standard operating procedures). The Feeder Operator assists the Technician to locate the job jacket for the production run and verify the presence of a signed customer okay for size, style, color, and copy as well as the sheeted product for printing. Feeder Operator is responsible for adhering to company directive, production schedules, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations established by the company and administered by the Supervisor. The Feeder Operator is responsible for following quality control procedures, safety procedures, and all other SOPs established by the company for the Printing Department. The Feeder Operator will have working knowledge of the companyâs business management system (Synchronous Flow) in order to meet production goals and the technology associated with company software systems (ASI) for production data entry. &nbsp;The Feeder Operator may perform other related tasks as requested by the Department Technician. The Feeder Operator is required to participate in any vocational education/training both internally or externally that is deemed necessary by the management of the company to perform the essential functions of your job or to personally achieve your career goals within the company.<br><br>Essential Functions:<br><ol><li>Is briefed by the Department Technician on the daily production objectives for scheduling jobs, addressing quality issues, workforce issues or training, and scheduled routine maintenance/repairs.</li><li>Responsible for attending any training initiated by the Supervisor, Management, Safety Coordinator, and/or HR. This includes Synchronous Flow Training and all Food Product Safety training and adherence, including HACCP and pre-requisites if applicable (GMPs SOP, Make-Ready Checklist, CCPs, Allergen Awareness, Food Defense, and contaminants such as wood, metal, and glass.)</li><li>Responsible for housekeeping in your assigned production area for your assigned shift.</li><li>Assist the Department Technician to enforce and maintain quality control standards for product manufactured on our machine on your shift according to the SOPs of the company and customer specifications.</li><li>Responsible for not letting any product get to the next process (cutting) or shift that has been marked for inspection or rejected.</li><li>Inspect sheets before production run (on the aerator) periodically for defects in caliper and coating, etc. And notifies the Department Technician of any issues.</li><li>Assists the Department Technician in the make-ready, operation, and cleaning of the printing press.</li><li>Examine job jacket to determine quantities to be printed and material specifications according to the customer specifications found in the job jacket before the production run and during an existing run at the beginning of your shift.</li><li>Pull loads of sheeted paperboard to press using a hand truck or forklift.</li><li>When applicable use aerator on sheets before restacking to a press pallet.</li><li>Push stacks of paperboard into the feed with a hand truck.</li><li>Start the feed, raise and lower loads, and make adjustments using buttons, cranks, slides, knobs, etc.</li><li>Assists the Technician to rinse rollers, install blankets or wash plates by hand.</li><li>Assists with the maintenance of press, including greasing and oiling machinery parts.</li><li>Stacks empty pallets and moves them to the storage area using a hand truck.</li></ol>]]></description>

The Case Sealer is required to participate in any vocational education/training both internally and externally that is deemed necessary by the management to perform the essential functions of your job or to personally achieve your career goals within the company.<br><br><strong>Essential Functions:</strong><br><ol><li>Is briefed by the Department Technician on the daily production objectives for scheduling jobs, addressing quality issues, workforce issues or training, and scheduled routine maintenance/repairs.</li><li>Responsible for attending any training initiated by the Supervisor, Management, Safety Coordinator, and/or HR. This includes Synchronous Flow Training and all Food Product Safety training and adherence, including HACCP and pre-requisites if applicable (GMPs SOP, Make-Ready Checklist, CCPs, Allergen Awareness, Food Defense, and contaminants such as wood, metal, and glass.)</li><li>Responsible for housekeeping in your assigned production area for your assigned shift.</li><li>Assist the Department Technician to maintain quality control standards for product manufactured on your machine on your shift according to the SOPs of the company and customer specifications.</li><li>Responsible for not letting any product (cases, pallets) move on to the next process (Shipping/Inventory) or shift that has been marked for inspection or rejected.</li><li>Locates, sets-up, seals, stacks and bands or wraps pallets according to customer specifications located in the job jacket.</li><li>Moves skids to a designated area using a hand truck or forklift according to the SOPs of the company.</li></ol><br><strong>Competencies:</strong><br><ol><li>Manual Dexterity âThe ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hand to grasp, manipulate, or assemble things.</li><li>Static Strength âThe ability to lift 40 lbs.
